How It Works

Participants are allowed to enter a round score unlimited times, with as many different partners as they choose. However, the same entry fee of $25 per player ($50 per team) is due before the start of said round, and it has to be deemed as paid before the round starts.

It may be paid into the tournament cash box, or via Venmo to Ryan Powers (@rpowers011), along with a pre-round text or communication that you are starting a round that you want entered (585-405-5876).

You can play any time up until the course closes on Monday, 9/7/26.

The total prize pool will be split in half, and ½ of the prize money is going to go into the golf course (please leave a polite comment card in the box as to where you would like to see the money allocated) and the other half is going to be paid out in cash prize money!

Larry has agreed to match whatever the total is that goes to the course, which will go straight into the course as well, so every one wins!

2
The Format

There will be two divisions: 2 person scramble and 2 person best ball.

(Please contact if you have any questions on how either of these formats are played)

3
Rules

This tournament is played scratch. However, both members of the team must have an up to date GHIN/GRINT or league handicap (doubled to get to 18 holes) index.

COMBINED TOTAL OF THEIR HANDICAP INDEX CAN NOT BE BELOW 15

Division 1: 2 Person Scramble

Played on Island Oaks

Format Details:

  • • All men play from the white tees, all ladies play from the red tees, regardless of age. This will allow every person playing to compete in the same division.
  • • Two person scratch scramble on Island Oaks
  • • Men play white tees, women play reds
  • • $25 per player, per entry to be paid pre round

Important Rules:

  • • All teams MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE MEMBER ON THEM TO ENTER A SCORE. Your twosome must be playing with at least one other member.
  • THAT MEMBER KEEPS YOUR SCORE CARD FOR YOU AS YOU PLAY AND SIGNS AS THE ATTESTEE.
  • IF THIS RULE IS NOT FOLLOWED, REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU SHOT, YOUR SCORE CARD WILL NOT BE ENTERED, AND YOU WILL NOT GET REFUNDED YOUR ENTRY FEE. IT WILL BE DONATED TO THE COURSE.
  • • Both players' balls must have at least one "UNIQUE" Sharpie mark on it, or other identifiable logo (besides the brand and number), which is also identified to the attestee pre-round and notified if changed.
  • • If there is any intentional cheating, the round you are attempting to enter, as well as all previous entries, will be removed from contention immediately.

Prize Distribution:

1st Place: 50%
2nd Place: 30%
3rd Place: 20%

Top 3 recorded scores and ties split the scramble prize money immediately after the Labor Day deadline.

Additional Rules:

  • • Each singular participant on the leader board can only be paid for each division once, so you can bump yourself and your previous partner off the board.
  • • In the event of a tie with one of the same partners, the round played first stays, and the one that tied the made score is thrown out.
  • • We are playing for money, but also for the course, so please putt everything out. No closer to the hole when you set your ball within a club's length of your partner.
  • • You may not change cuts or exit hazards.
  • • In the event that you are both out of bounds, THE LOCAL E-5 RULE IS NOT IN EFFECT.
  • • Please direct any questions to Ryan Powers at 585-405-5786
